“Beginning To Sink He Cried”

Let’s not be so quick to throw in the towel on anyone who begins to sink while they are exercising their faith. The truth be told, Jesus is the author and finisher of it, and He is able to keep them through the process. If they need to call on them for help, He will reach down and pull them back up to a standing position so they can walk on with Him. Think about it, Natural growth and spiritual growth are quite similar so we can’t expect perfection on the very first try. Give it sometime, for those who have dedicated themselves to the word of God will emerge triumphant and stand on their high places. Lets look at our beloved Apostle Peter:

Matthew 14:28-33

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 32 And when they were come into the ship, the
wind ceased. 33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
